SINGAPORE — Nominations are now being accepted for the 7th annual edition of the International Furniture Leadership Awards.
The awards are held each year to honor well-run furniture companies around the world as well as individuals for their outstanding leadership. It is open to furniture retailers, manufacturers, importers, interior designers and design firms, machinery and materials suppliers, industry associations and trade show organizers worldwide.
The 2022 Award Categories are as follows:

+ Rising Star Award
+ Outstanding Company Award
+ Outstanding Leader Award
+ Outstanding Young Leader Award
+ Outstanding Female Leader
Nominees are evaluated via a comprehensive and scientific assessment system developed by a renowned professor of business management. The foundation criteria include considerations of each nominee/company’s:
+ leadership and strategies
+ marketing and branding
+ human capital and development
+ business process and execution capabilities
+ financial and wealth management
Similar to the 2021 edition, the FLA Awards 2022 will continue to take into account additional challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
While companies that continue to excel will stand out, the judging panel comprising industry authorities, management strategists and renowned academics, also will be looking out for companies that demonstrate resilience and sustainability. These are considered the fundamental tenets of the program, especially in view of the challenging circumstances the world continues to face.
All entries are judged by a distinguished independent international panel that comprises renowned academics, heads of industry, industry experts and editors of top industry media.
Since its inception, the FLA has recognized some of the best managed, fastest growing companies in the world, representing countries such as Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, USA and Vietnam.
In 2021, 18 international companies and individuals won 22 awards, representing segments such as furniture retail, wholesale, manufacturing, interior design, trade associations and trade show organizers. They represent 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
The event is endorsed by International Alliance of Furnishing Publications (IAFP) and sponsored by China International Furniture Fair (CIFF), the program’s platinum sponsor. The 2022 edition has received support from 21 strategic partners worldwide, including leading industry media, industry associations and various trade fairs.
Nominations are accepted through Dec. 15. Judging takes place from December through January 2022. The awards ceremony will be held on March 19, 2022 during the CIFF Guangzhou 2022 being held at the Pazhou Exhibition Complex in Guangzhou.
