WOBURN, Massachusetts – Top 20 U.S. bedding manufacturer Spring Air International, has signed Briody Bedding Limited, an innovative, family-owned bedding and furniture company in Ballinrink, Ireland as its licensee serving the 32 counties and hospitality business in the country.
Briody is a second-generation family business that was founded by Benny and Brid Briody in 1974. The company is now run by their children Bridget, Martin, Brendan and David who have continued to carry on the legacy of producing high-quality, handmade bedding and furniture where affordability never compromises quality. By using the latest technology and production techniques, Briody can efficiently serve the needs of their dealers and customers by scheduling, producing, and distributing products on a weekly basis.
The company started with three employees producing 30 beds a week, and has now grown to 90 employees producing 1,000 mattresses weekly. A few weeks ago, Briody was recognized with the prestigious AIBF Enterprise of the Year Award from the All-Ireland Business Foundation. It is the group’s premier recognition for a domestic company.
The announcement represents a return to the Spring Air International network for Briody.
“We are delighted to welcome back our Irish licensee Briody to our international network. The history between our companies goes back a long time and we have seen the company’s success grow over the years. We look forward to many more years of watching the company advance in its market,” said Spring Air International President Nick Bates.
“In Ireland, Briody is synonymous with sleep – the kind of deep, energizing sleep where you awaken refreshed and ready for the day. With the innovation behind the production of Spring Air’s mattresses, we recognize that Spring Air’s goals align with ours. At Briody, we are constantly producing new and innovative products by means of extensive research and development,” said David Briody, a company director. “My father originally brought the Spring Air brand to Ireland over 20 years ago and it is important for us to carry that forward and introduce a greater range of Spring Air mattresses to the Irish market.”
