TOLLESON, Ariz. — Legends Furniture has promoted several executives as part of an effort to expand its sales and product development initiatives in the year ahead.
Marty Melcher, vice president, sales for bedding, has been promoted to senior vice president, sales, with recently hired vice president sales and former Lane executive Matt Sorensen reporting to him.
Together they will work with and develop sales representatives and will handle large accounts and retail members of multiple buying groups to round out the company’s customer base.
The company also has split its product development initiatives between case goods and upholstery and bedding.
Tim Donk, a 19-year company veteran who was recently promoted to vice president, product, is overseeing case goods development.
Sam Curtis, senior vice president of the In2Rest bedding segment, is transitioning his role to include both bedding and upholstery. In this position, he has been focusing on the launch of a full upholstery line at the April High Point Market.
At the Market, the company also is moving its showroom from space C601 of the International Home Furnishings Center to a new 30,000 square-foot showroom in space 308 of Plaza Suites.
