Exclusive Furniture donates $30K in furniture and bedding to non-profits aiding Afghan refugees

HOUSTON — Exclusive Furniture and its Zavary family leadership has partnered with 2 local nonprofits to help integrate more than 20 families into Houston with the donation of 100 mattresses, box springs, and bed frames in its warehouse valued at $30,000.

The Top 100 company will distribute them to the An-nisa Hope Center and Amaanah Services, aiding local families seeking asylum and a new home in Houston. The first delivery of mattresses was made last week to a local apartment complex with An-nisa sponsored families.

An-Nisa is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working to help families in crisis situations, including domestic violence and displaced persons to empower, educate, and enrich the community by providing counseling, educational programs, and the necessary assistance to help families regain self-sufficiency with programs providing direct aid and assistance, financial literacy, societal integration, and counseling.

“It’s hard for us to even imagine what these individuals and families are going through, leaving everything behind and coming to a new country with nothing,” Exclusive Furniture Vice President Fawad Zavary said in a release.

“Exclusive Furniture is a family business and humanity comes ahead of everything for us. We are happy to have an opportunity to provide a little help to the families in their search for freedom and happiness in this great city, and our team at Exclusive wants to provide as much aid as possible making sure that every person at least has a mattress to sleep on.”

CEO Sam Zavary added, “We have partnered with local non-profits to ensure that the mattresses and our donations go directly to those most in need.”
