MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Case goods and upholstery manufacturer Hooker Furnishings has named Douglas Estremadoyro senior vice president, business transformation and strategic projects, a new position.
In this position, he will be responsible for corporate-wide strategic planning, including seeking synergies and increased speed across the company’s different divisions. He also will oversee key transformational projects that include shoring up the company’s digital roadmap and the integration of the new Sunset West outdoor division.
In addition, he will focus on the implementation and execution of the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system as well as several other corporate growth initiatives.
He comes to the company from Four Hands, where he was vice president, business innovations, a role in which he led several organizational change and technology transformation projects. Before that, he was vice president, continuous improvement and business intelligence at HMi Group, a brand of Hooker Furnishings.
He also was previously director of supply chain operations at Pulaski Furniture, a division of Home Furnishings International. In this role, he focused on product demand and planned production capacity and also monitored product delivery to warehouses and customer distribution centers.
In his new position, he reports to Tod Phelps, senior vice president, operations and chief information officer.
