THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Product development and furniture industry retail veteran Lisa Street has been named manager, private brands at Conn’s HomePlus.
She comes to the position with more than 20 years of experience in product development and assortment planning, having served in leadership roles with furniture retail stores, eCommerce channels, wholesale suppliers and direct-to-consumer catalog platforms.
Street was most recently a product manager and supply chain analyst with Trademark Global and before that was a senior buyer with the contract division at Loves Furniture.
Previously she was director, product development and manager, eCommerce buying and merchandising at Art Van. Before joining Art Van, she was director, merchandising at Ashley HomeStore in the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Fla. market.
Before joining Ashley, she worked for 15 years at home textile and décor retailer Linensource, where she started as a buyer, before moving into the role of vice president, merchandising and product development.
In that role, she developed merchandising strategies to support marketing offers and the acquisition of new customers, according to her LinkedIn profile, eventually moving the business to 70% private label and creating proprietary collections that grew sales and margin.
