VALENCIA, Calif. — Industry veteran Mike Cohen has been named vice president of sales for the retail division at full-line indoor and outdoor furniture resource Armen Living.
In his new position, he reports to Lee Honigsfeld who previously was vice president, sales, and who has been promoted to executive vice president.
In his new position, Cohen will focus on driving sales for the company’s retail division and key accounts, as well as seeing to container division growth, Big Box stores, and Top 100 retail accounts. He will also work with more than 20 sales reps “to deliver sales support and the sales tools they need to expand and grow their regions.”
Cohen was most recently senior vice president of sales at New Classic Furniture and before that was president of Home News Now 125 retailer Walker Furniture.
He also was previously vice president at Coaster Company of America and before that was vice president at Emerald Home Furnishings.
Earlier in his career he was vice president of Douglas Furniture and was national account manager at upholstery manufacturer Guildcraft of California, where he worked for 21 years.
“I have known Michael for almost 20 years,” Honigsfeld said. “His well-known and exceptional reputation speaks for itself. He is a master at building relationships and with his 40 years in the furniture business combined with Armen Living’s 40 years of manufacturing, we have a total of 80 years of experience mastering the home furnishings industry., Having him on board will bring our sales expertise to the next level.”
Cohen said he is pleased to make this next step in his career in the industry as he has known both Honigsfeld and company President Kevin Kevonian for many years and has high regard for the business they have built.
