CIN research offers insights into consumer mattress buying plans

It should come as no surprise that mattresses are among the top items on consumer home furnishings wish lists in the first half of 2024. The survey also shows that younger millennials, Gen Xers and baby boomers plan to buy at the highest rates, with 47% preferring a queen mattress and 32% wanting a king. Also, nearly 94% of consumers plan to replace an existing mattress, and 25% plan to spend between $1,000 and $1,999. These shoppers also say that support is the most important benefit, followed by pressure relief and cooling.
