HICKORY, N.C. — Luxury furniture manufacturer Sherrill Furniture Co. has promoted Paula Daniels to vice president of human resources, effective immediately.
She has been with the company for the past eight and a half years as corporate director of human resources.
In her new position, she will lead a team of six human resource managers and staff that cover five manufacturing locations.
The company added that she will “continue to steer the company’s human resource strategies, leveraging her extensive experience and exceptional leadership skills to further enhance the company’s growth and employee-centric initiatives. … Her tenure has been marked by a relentless dedication to fostering a positive work environment and implementing progressive HR policies that align with the company’s vision.”
Daniels has 30 years of experience in the field, having worked previously at T.J. Maxx and Walmart, where she gained experience in corporate management. The company said that she also has experience beyond the retail sector, having managed payroll and benefits in the construction industry and also working in a dual controller and HR manager role for a German manufacturing startup.
She reports to Thad Monroe, president of Sherrill Furniture.
