Description: Bear, a tech brand that helps furniture and home manufacturers build listings in the category, is looking for a proven eng leader to lead, manage, and mentor a team of devs by cultivating a high-performance, unified team culture. You’ll own and define the execution of the short and long-term engineering strategy for the bear platform, and play a key role in shaping what the future looks like for the furniture & home brands that love and rely on Bear. You’ll be excellent in this role if you’re relentlessly resourceful, play extremely well with others, and are a pro at building bridges across the entire business. This is a hybrid role open to candidates exclusively in Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development with experience in a leadership role
- Strong technical skills with experience in Node.js, Svelte, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis
- Proven track record of managing and leading high-performing development teams
