A-America hires industry veteran Jay Hayes as Eastern sales manager

ALGONA, Wash. — Solid wood case goods manufacturer A-America has hired Jay Hayes as Eastern sales manager.

Hayes has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and was most recently a retail business consultant for retailer W.S. Badcock Corp. Before this, he was an independent sales representative for Broyhill, Thomasville and Englander. He also was previously a retail operations manager for Good’s Home Furnishings and a general manager for Thomasville Home Furnishings’ retail store in Pineville, North Carolina.

Before this he was a regional sales manager at Codi Inc. and also was previously a general manager for Hendricks Furniture Group and an independent sales representative for Drexel Heritage. Earlier in his career he was national account manager for Simmons Bedding Company.

In his new position, he reports to Christian Rohrbach, president. He will manage the company’s Eastern sales team and also serve key accounts.

“We have over 50 years of experience in creating and selling solid wood dining, bedroom and occasional product and Jay will make an excellent addition to our team,” Rohrbach said. “He has a keen eye for product and a focus on partnering with customers to excel. His personal and family background in the industry have provided a deep appreciation for home furnishings. We look forward to having him on our team.”

Hayes will be at the company’s showroom in space W-1047 in the International Home Furnishings Center this week where he will be meeting and working with customers.
