Fusion Designs to launch 2 new dining groups, new Addison bedroom at April market

GOSHEN, Ind.  —Fusion Designs, a manufacturer of solid wood, domestically produced case goods, will introduce two dining groups to its popular Essentials collection and the Addison bedroom collection at the April High Point Market.

The Harmony round leg table

The Essentials program will incorporate two new dining groups crafted from oak and maple. The Harmony Trestle and Harmony Leg programs feature a contemporary trestle table in oak and a leg table with a distinctly Scandinavian aesthetic in maple. Like other products in the Essentials program, both are available in 35 finishes and can be shipped to retailers in 10 days.

The trestle table is 42 inches by 72 inches and can be expanded with one 18-inch butterfly leaf included. The Harmony Leg table is 48 inches long and is the same width. Both dining groups come with four chairs and retail for $3,500.

“There is no question that oak, which has been associated with quality and durability for centuries, is taking off in popularity again and it’s because consumers love the grain and the natural beauty of this solid American hardwood. Plus, it’s incredibly versatile with finish options from traditional to more modern and eclectic,” said Marcus Bontrager, president of Fusion Designs.

Bontrager noted that the success of the Essentials program is largely credited to the ease of customization and the minimalized risk of user error. “Retailers are asking for more products to be added to our Essentials program because the simplified ordering process is absolutely error-proof and easy for RSA’s. Our program allows retailers to offer a personalized look to their customers without the worry of costly ordering mistakes.”

Beyond the Essentials program, Fusion Designs is also adding a new, bench-built, solid wood bedroom this Market as well. The Addison is a modern, off-the-the-floor silhouette that will be crafted in Brown Maple and finished in Harbor Gray. Like all Fusion Designs furniture, the Addison is constructed with mortise and tenon joinery and soft close drawers and is available in any of 35 hand-wiped finishes. The go-with-anything upholstered headboard is covered in Crypton’s C22-12 Fincher performance fabric, engineered for easy maintenance, comfort, and durability.

Fusion will also show its Platte River home office group in High Point for the first time. The contemporary group was created in response to the growing popularity of “work from home” options, with the needs of younger consumers in mind who may be living and working in smaller spaces.

Stocked in brown maple wood, the Platte River group offers an executive desk with a power port for USB and standard plug power, a filing cabinet, writing desk, and a variety of bookshelves that feature solid wood adjustable shelves – available in 30, 36, 42, 60 and 72-inches.
