by SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – This week, Home News Now’s Tom Russell visited Broad River’s Ashley store in Southern Pines, North Carolina that opened in late May. The 32,000-square-foot store and a smaller 18,400-square-foot store opened in Greenwood, South Carolina in June, feature a new 7.0 store footprint with an open floor plan.
This open floor plan provides consumers open site lines of nearly the entire store, while also separating the product mix into lifestyle categories of case goods, upholstery, occasional furniture, home office and home entertainment and accessories. These lifestyle categories cover multiple style segments including Vintage Casual, New Traditions, Family Spaces, Urbanology and Modern Refinery.
The store also features large video screens on the walls that tell the story of Ashley’s contributions to major causes and involvement in some of the communities where it has a presence. There is also space devoted to outdoor furniture, youth furniture and bedding, with a Sleep Gallery with major brands such as Tempur-Pedic, Purple, Stearns & Foster, Bedgear and Ashley Sleep to name several.
