Description: The Sourcing Manager is a member of the sourcing team that is responsible for supplier selection on all new parts and materials to support La-Z-Boy’s long-term manufacturing strategy. They will also handle commercial deliverables for assigned sourcing commodities and components, including quotes, quote revisions, design reviews, final pricing and timing negotiations, ramp-up plans, and initial quality to ensure flawless launch of new products.
The person in this role is responsible for new part and material sourcing driven by Engineering Changes to improve cost, quality, and function of existing products. They will participate as the Sourcing/Supply Chain member of various cross-functional teams that plan and execute new product launches, engineering changes, cost reduction projects, process improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials Management, or Business Administration with 4-6 years of experience in purchasing/supply management, or equivalent
- Knowledge of purchasing/manufacturing principles, including:
- Supplier Scorecards
- ERP systems
- Lean manufacturing
- APQP & PPAP
