by HIGH POINT — Spectra Home, known in the industry for its tailored upholstery, is expanding its comfort seating selections this market to include transitional and traditionally styled recliners in fabrics and leathers, some with decorative nailhead trims.
The six new models can be seen in the company’s showroom at 200 N. Hamilton, Space 213.
“Motion is king, whether it’s swivel or reclining, customers want chairs that are comfortable and have movement,” said Jim Telleysh, president of Spectra Home. “Our swivel chairs are already bestsellers, so we added more recliners in both push-back and power models to meet the motion requests.”
He noted that the power recliners have hidden power buttons with USB outlets for multiposition reclining and charging electronics while users are relaxing.
“And with our Custom Design Program customers can select from over 185 fashion fabric and leather covers along with a variety of nailhead trim finishes to coordinate with their room décor,” Telleysh added.
The company also is launching a new sofa-sleeper line based on its two bestselling sofas, Pasadena and Curry.
“We have had requests from several retail partners to add a bed option to our sofas,” Tellyesh said. “They said that many of their customers have requested comfortable sofas with the ability to accommodate overnight visitors.”
He noted that to address that need, the company has added a 5-inch memory foam mattress and an easy-open-and-close mechanism to its 75-inch Curry and 85-inch Pasadena sofas.
“The sleep-sofas will continue to have the blend-down seats and hardwood frames that make them so comfortable,” he said, adding that the Custom Design Program also allows designers and retailers to select from more than 185 designer fabrics and leathers with contrasting throw pillows and welts at no additional charge along with nailhead trims in a variety of finishes.
