HIGH POINT – Case goods resource Martin Svensson Home is moving to a new showroom here that is more than two and a half times the size of its current space.
The company is moving to just over 6,000 square feet of space in 116 and 117 of Centers of High Point Hamilton. It previously occupied about 2,300 square feet in H721 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
“It gives us more square footage compared to our previous space in the IHFC building,” said Stephen Sandberg, vice president, marketing and product line director at Martin Svensson Home.
He said the move is particularly timely for the company as it has recently expanded its product lines. In addition to bedroom, entertainment and occasional furniture, it is now offering dining room and home office furniture. Some of these new pieces are standalone items while others are extensions to existing collections.
“It definitely helps us to be able to showcase to retailers and buyers the different categories and synergies these pieces have through a whole collection,” Sandberg added, noting that the space will showcase some new items seen at the recently concluded Las Vegas Market and inline goods that have recently gone into production.
“The idea is for us to show what we have and what’s available,” Sandberg noted.
The space will be open at the upcoming Feb. 28-March 1 Premarket in High Point and during the April 2-6 High Point Market.
