NORWALK, Ohio – At the Oct. 16-20 High Point Market, custom upholstery manufacturer Norwalk Furniture is launching several multi-purpose upholstery pieces designed for consumers that want to configure their living spaces in multifunctional ways that reflect how they live today.
The company described the new items as being ideal for a variety of room sizes and configurations that are available in more than 800 fabrics and 100 leather options.
Among the key introductions are the Gastonia sofa, which features a curved profile and a tight back and seat and a transitional design that allows it to float in a room; and the triangular shaped Apex storage ottoman, which has been designed to accommodate the space formed by an l-shaped sectional. It has padded side panels, button details and a removable top offering storage.
Other key introductions include the Madison chair, which has a serpentine front rail and embracing arms that make it suitable for use in pairs. Its moderate scale also makes it suitable for smaller spaces; and the traditional Wilmington chair, which features dramatic drop of the back sew line and curved front arms.
“Offering products that will suit a variety of spaces is all about designing pieces with accessibility, comfort, style and purpose in mind,” said Caroline Hipple, president of Norwalk Furniture. “All too often the constrains of a space limits us. With multi-functional furniture it’s not only about adapting to the situation but also about optimizing the space. Our newest introductions allow the furniture to multitask within a room with designs that are flexible, while adding a new level of comfort – all without compromising on style.”
These and other introductions can be seen in the Norwalk showroom in space M-108 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
