Kuka Home promotes 3 to new positions

Promotions aim to recognize, nurture and advance talent within the organization

HIGH POINT — Upholstery resource Kuka Home has promoted three of its team members to new positions as part of an overall effort to recognize and advance talent within its organization.

Sergio Barrios has been promoted to executive vice president of merchandising and product development for Kuka Home North America. The company said this recognizes his “proven expertise in merchandising and exceptional creativity in developing new products and categories. Joining the company in 2019, Barrios seamlessly merged the motion and stationary divisions into a single, cohesive, merchandised line.”

Sergio Barrios

Barrios was most recently senior vice president of design and product development and before that was vice president of design and product development.

In his new role, he reports to Matt Harrison, president of Kuka Home North America.

“His consistent track record of keeping us one, two and sometimes three steps ahead of our competitors has undeniably contributed to our success in growing Kuka Home into one of the world’s leading upholstery manufacturers,” Harrison said, adding that Barrios’ role as executive vice president will allow him to continue to develop innovative designs for the company.

Christina O’Brien Morrison

Christina O’Brien Morrison has been promoted to senior marketing manager. She has been with the company for nearly four years, most recently as marketing manager and before that, marketing consultant. The company described her promotion as “well deserved, as her innovative efforts and commitment to improving Kuka Home’s image have proven outstanding. Since joining the team in 2020, Morrison has driven remarkable growth and recognition for the company through strategic branding initiatives, heightened media attention and active industry involvement.”

In her new position, she reports to Barrios and will continue to lead the company’s marketing efforts, “driving innovation and ensuring the brand resonates with retailers and end consumers.”

“Christina has been an invaluable asset to our organization through her creativity in marketing throughout our showrooms and out in the marketplace,” Harrison said. “Her creative eye and attention to detail have vastly improved Kuka’s presence in the furniture industry, positioning us as a top-tier manufacturer and upholstery resource.”

Bellena Criddle

In addition, the company has promoted Bellena Criddle to operations manager for the national retail team. She has been with the company for about two and a half years, most recently as national retail operations coordinator. In her role, the company said she “efficiently oversees and manages the day-to-day operational activities that serve as the backbone of our business, ensuring seamless coordination and success.”

She reports to Tony Cantrell, president of the company’s National Retail Division.

“Bellena’s commitment to customer and consumer satisfaction is unparalleled,” Cantrell said. “She is a tremendous asset to our company, and her promotion is well earned.”
