by HIGH POINT — Universal Furniture is launching an import motion upholstery program this week at the April High Point Market.
The company said each frame in the six-style collection is designed to capture the look of stationery upholstery, while also offering the functionality of motion.
“We worked hard to create a new program that creates both an enjoyable experience for the consumer and a great value and easy-to-purchase process for the retailer,” said President Sean O’Connor.
The six styles—Mixon, Kelce, Tucker, Higgins, Nelson and Rhodes — come in a variety of sofa, sectional and chair frames. Each style features exposed legs, a fully upholstered back, incliner mechanisms, detailed stitching and are power-motioned with battery packs.
They also feature a Leggett & Platt incliner mechanism which allows each piece to recline away from the wall, offering both a space saving and a more pleasing visual aesthetic.
Each style also comes standard with spring down seating and articulating headrests. In addition, all covers are performance based, comprising six leather options and six fabric options. Special order fabrics and leathers also are available.
