by HIGH POINT — Home News Now is hosting its first biannual premarket party for the industry from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 10 at the newly inaugurated Home Furnishings Hall of Fame building at 311 S. Hamilton St. downtown. It will be the social kickoff for the fall market cycle and is open to all industry members who attend premarket.
“We have coordinated with the premarket committee to create an event that will augment their already successful program and create another event that will bring everyone together,” said group publisher Rick Harrison. “Those of you who remember the InFurniture parties we held at Nobles in the early 2000s will be excited that we’re bringing it all back.“
The event will include light hors d’oeuvres and drinks along with an opportunity to see the wide mix of interactive displays inside the building, which officially opened during the April High Point Market. Home News Now is seeking sponsors for the event, which will give those participating companies a chance to have their brands shown on three giant screens inside the building.
“We’ll be looking for sponsors to help cover this bar tab because you people drink a lot,” Harrison said. “Get in touch with me … this remarkable venue lends itself to an array of sponsorship opportunities. It will be THE event of the market season, and on the Sunday evening of premarket, it’s the only game in town.”
