by FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – City Furniture, a family-owned American furniture and mattress retailer, fine upholstery manufacturer, and one of America’s Top 25 furniture retailers, proudly unveils their 2023 Pink Pumpkins tribute and mission to end breast cancer. Now in its fourth year, the initiative which runs October 1 – December 31, has raised over $1.2 million to help the American Cancer Society (ACS) fund life-saving research through their Making Strides against Breast Cancer events.
City invites the public to join forces with them to raise breast cancer awareness and spread messages of support. Now through the end of October, visitors to any City Furniture or Ashley Homestore can receive a complimentary pink pumpkin bucket for family trick-or-treating or Halloween home décor. City’s goal? To paint Florida’s communities pink with Pink Pumpkins as a powerful tribute to survivors and loved ones touched by breast cancer.
City has set its sights on a staggering $750,000 fundraising goal for the ACS with the ultimate goal to deliver lifesaving breast cancer screenings, revolutionary research and crucial transportation to treatment centers. To meet this goal, City is inviting the community to help raise funds by participating in its Test Rest Program from October 1st through the end of this year. When individuals visit a City showroom and complete a mattress test rest, they will not only receive a $25 gift card, but also trigger a $25 donation to the ACS on their behalf, courtesy of City’s 5% Giving Pledge.
