Lush named Digio Leather president of sales

HIGH POINT — Industry veteran Steve Lush has joined Digio Leather as president of sales, a new position for the Italian leather upholstery producer aiming to expand its distribution in the Americas.

Lush is responsible for building out Digio’s sales force and leading sales efforts in North, Central, and South America, including working directly with certain key accounts.

Digio is the middle to upper-midpriced sister company of Incanto Italia, maker of high-end Italian leather upholstery.

“We will be expanding our dealer footprint with both existing and new channels of distribution,” Lush told Home News Now during High Point’s First Tuesday event. “I’m excited to be a part of the Digio team, a company that has great potential in the Americas.

A veteran of the industry since 1982, and with experience on both the retail and supply sides as well as a rep, Lush got his start at the family-owned Lush Brothers, which operated a small chain of high-end stores in Pennsylvania and New York.  Most recently he was president of Kuka North America, which he joined in 2018.

Lush also has held executive roles at Hooker Furniture and Robb & Stucky International, where he was president for about five years, and at Universal and the former Hendricks Furniture.

Digio will be participating in First Tuesdays as well as showing during Premarket and High Point markets. The showroom also will be opened for private appointments anytime, said Lush, who lives near Charlotte, N.C.

The company currently occupies space on the eighth floor of the International Home Furnishings Center’s Design Center wing.
