Celebrates the holiday season by gifting $2,000 each to 155 food pantries
Manchester, Conn., Nov. 18, 2021 – In celebration of the upcoming holidays, Bob’s Discount Furniture today announced a donation of $310,000 to food pantries and hunger-relief programs within its markets throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southwest and West Coast. An organization near each of the 150 Bob’s Discount Furniture stores and 5 distribution centers will receive a $2,000 donation from the furniture retailer.
“During this season of giving, we are excited to support food pantries in our communities for the eighth year in a row,” said Bob Kaufman, president emeritus and co-founder of Bob’s Discount Furniture. “We know that many people struggle to feed their families and we’re hoping these donations help provide meals to those in need during this holiday season.”
Throughout the year, the Bob’s Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation supports many children and youth service organizations. As the holidays approach, the retailer will spread its charitable arm to support those in need, providing necessary funds to local food pantries in the fight to end hunger.
