by TORONTO — Yoram Weinreich has been named chief executive officer at online direct-to-consumer furniture resource Simpli Home, a new position with the company.
For the past 24 years, he has been co-president along with his brother Erez Weinreich, who has been named chairman.
In this new position, Yoram Weinreich said that he will fully manage day-to-day operations of the company with its team of executives. He also is responsible for creating the strategic vision of the company, heading up planning and management of major initiatives in international operations as well as growth, business intelligence and marketing.
In addition, he will continue to head product development across a wide range of products sold on the platform which include upholstery and solid wood furniture in categories such as bedroom, dining, office and entertainment furniture and outdoor furniture.
Weinreich said that the company will not be filling the president position. However, he noted there is a full executive management team around the world that operates in Canada, the US, India, Vietnam, China and Macau.
