HIGH POINT — Nominations for the class of 2024 for induction into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame, the industry’s most prestigious award, are now open. All members of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation are eligible to nominate and to second a nomination.
“The Selection Committee seeks candidates from across the industry who have impacted home furnishings in extraordinary ways,” said Karen McNeill, president of the Hall of Fame board of directors. “We asked the industry to consider those leaders — no matter what their role — who exemplify creativity, innovation, philanthropy and the ability to initiate change. Think of your peers that most deserve the recognition that is the highest honor bestowed in our industry.”
Nomination forms can be found online at www.homefurnishingshalloffame.com.
During an intensive five-month selection process, the Hall of Fame Selection Committee carefully considers an extensive list of individuals to determine who most exemplifies enduring excellence, superior accomplishments, innovation and creativity, and philanthropic generosity of their time, talents and resources. The final selection is determined by a points-based system, with ballots
cast individually and online by each of the seven selection committee members.
To qualify for consideration, the individual must conduct business in the United States, have served in the industry for at least 15 years, have created a legacy as a positive influence and champion of the industry, and should have achieved the pinnacle of their careers and directionally trend to 60 years old. For posthumous nominations, the individual must have been deceased for at least 12 months
prior to the date of the nomination.
Members may submit nominations by Feb. 1. Nomination forms and lists of current members, previous nominees and inductees are available on the foundation website at www.homefurnishingshalloffame.com . Members may also obtain printed copies of the documents by calling 336.882.5900.
