ATLANTA, June 28, 2022—Whole home resource Universal Furniture and renowned lighting and decor company Regina Andrew Detroit, two sponsors of the RUE magazine Showhome at Serenbe, recently hosted interior designers for a series of events at the southern Georgia community. Combined with social activities featuring RUE magazine editors, the invitation-only events provided designers with access to the showhome and an opportunity to experience the wellness-focused lifestyle of the Serenbe community.
Universal Furniture provided an extensive selection of furnishings for the indoor and outdoor settings of the showhouse, including designs for the patio, living room, bedrooms and office. Additionally, portable lighting from Regina Andrew Detroit is featured throughout the home. Located in the Mado neighborhood of Serenbe, the hillside home was built by 10/23 Construction of Atlanta.
“We are always inspired by the many ways designers bring a show home vision to life using Universal Furniture,” said Neil MacKenzie, vice president of marketing for Universal Furniture. “Our recent events at Serenbe allowed us to expand on those designer relationships with one-on-one interaction and the chance to show our designs in a real home setting.”
Held June 1-2 at Serenbe, the interior designer event began with a tour of the RUE Showhome, which was designed by Patrick and Meghan Sharp of design studio Mr. & Mrs. Sharp. Known for their beautiful interiors that combine comfort and flair, the Sharps’ interiors are regularly featured in print and online media, including the extensive work they have done in Serenbe. The duo created a simple, serene design for the RUE Showhouse that allows the furniture and lighting in the rooms to tell a story of comfort and relaxed living.
“Light is an essential part of any home’s design and the RUE Showhouse design communicates that concept with particular elegance,” said Carla Regina, co-founder of Regina Andrew Detroit. “We were so pleased that our event allowed guests to experience the home first-hand and see how lighting truly provides the finishing touch to every room.”
The interior design event continued with a happy hour and book signing with Kelli Lamb, editorial director of RUE Magazine and author of “Home with RUE: Style for Everyone” which was published on May 31. Guests attended dinner at the Serenbe Farmhouse Restaurant later that same evening. In addition to the event’s design-related activities, attendees were given the chance to participate in a Serenbe Goat Yoga class with Nigerian Dwarf goats, one of the community’s many wellness offerings for residents and guests.
The RUE Showhome will be featured in the magazine’s summer issue, which will be available on newsstands on June 29.
