Dallas Total Home & Gift Market: First event of the year in the most active marketplace in North America

January market experience to include new and expanded showrooms and a full Temps marketplace

DALLAS – November 20, 2020 – Following eight months of successful trade events serving loyal and new buyers, Dallas Market Center has announced details for the winter edition of Total Home & Gift Market, January 6-12, 2021. As retailers and designers meet the increasing demand for home décor and gifts, only in Dallas will buyers see the latest trends, discover more new products including one-of-a-kind pieces, shop a full marketplace of Temps, and experience inspiring seminars and product displays.

More New and Expanding Showrooms Than Any Marketplace

During the month of January more than 150 new and expanding showrooms will debut in Dallas, including iconic names and exciting new companies. Highlights include:

Todd Smith and Charlie Groppetti, the visionaries behind the farmhouse interiors look, debut a new showroom called Porch View (WTC 280). The brand offers home furnishings and accessories in a relaxed, casual aesthetic.

Minka Group debuts a massive new showroom on the fourth floor of the Trade Mart (4103). All of its brands will be located in a single location, including Minka-Lavery, Minka-Aire, Metropolitan Lighting Fixture Co., and George Kovacs.

Park Hill Collection has new space for discovery (WTC 321). The company brings together objects that spark feelings of nostalgia and inspire you to create a welcoming environment through carefully curated collections. Many are exclusive antique reproductions, others are exciting contemporary finds, but all of their products are designed to create inviting living spaces with an emphasis on making a personal statement all your own.

Lucas + McKearn—a partnership between Joe McKearn of Flambeau Lighting of New Orleans and Jonathan and Deborah Lucas, the team behind 50-years-running UK company Elstead Lighting—is opening a new showroom in TM 4432.19 to showcase lighting and accessories.

Diverse Marketing (WTC 439, 421) has dramatically expanded into adjacent space on the atrium. The toy, gift and sport showroom represents dozens of lines including Fat Brain Toy Co., Funko, HearthSong, Schylling, PopSockets, SuckUK, and others.

Z-Lite (TM 4600) has been creating a beautiful array of quality interior and exterior residential lighting–all beautifully designed to suit a wide range of styles, from traditional to contemporary—since 1987.

Pasha Furniture (IHDC 1D421) offers limitless options—from finishes, cushions, legs, and hardware to hundreds of fabric selections—enabling the creation of truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Regency International (WTC 268) has supplied retailers, garden centers, florists, and designers with home décor, accessories, and gifts. Now, the company is expanding to offer even more finds from their expansive holiday collections—including Christmas and Easter—home and garden goods, and realistic faux flowers and foliage.

Inside Light + Design on Ten, the first-ever smart home showroom that opened June 2019, Smarter Living by Design has been updated and expanded with new technologies. Anchored by Samsung and featuring a dozen other leading smart home brands, Smarter Living by Design now also includes the company’s Executive Briefing Center and an innovative new display for its popular Frame TVs. Smarter Living by Design is coordinated by HomeTronics, a local custom electronics integrator.

The Temps at Total Home & Gift Market, which runs January 6-9, will present hundreds of new and returning exhibitors. Buyers will explore a full marketplace of Temps with four distinct neighborhoods to discover hot new products and brands.

Health & Safety Guidelines Supporting Buyer Comfort

Supporting the comfort, health and safety of all attendees, the market center continues measures that include mandatory face covering and temperature screening for every person entering the marketplace every day. Other efforts include enhanced cleaning with hospital grade products, hundreds of hand sanitizing stations, limited food service, no gatherings, and signage for social distancing. Along with these new steps, there are safety measures that are part of the design of the marketplace: open parking, large entryways, quick registration in multiple areas, wide hallways, multiple escalators to each floor, and showrooms with controlled access to allow for the appropriate distance between customers.

Digital Events and Displays

Recognizing the need for inspiration and education at a distance, the market will present digital programming before and during the show. Videos, email content, and social media posts will provide product previews and business intelligence from Dallas Market Center and industry thought leaders. While at the show, interactive displays will feature new product insights and business intelligence on demand.

The HEARTS Awards

For this year only, Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, have replaced the annual ARTS Awards with The HEARTS Awards, an event celebrating and honoring those who showed outstanding leadership during the pandemic. Uniting multiple industries for the first time, the event on January 8 will pay homage to 13 “hearts and heroes” of 2020. Up for auction to benefit No Kid Hungry, one of our nonprofit honorees, are 75 dinner plates donated by Rosenthal and reimagined by VIPs spanning Justina Blakeney to Jane Seymour, Thom Filicia, Alexander Julian, and Bobby Berk.
