Intercon names Tim Newlin VP of sales and business development

Exec has been with company 18 years, serving as vice president, sourcing and product development for Intercon and sister youth furniture resource Westwood Design

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Case goods and upholstery resource Intercon has named Tim Newlin vice president of sales and business development.

In this position, he will be responsible for overseeing the development and training of the company’s sales team.

Newlin has been at Intercon for 18 years, serving as vice president of sourcing and product development for Intercon since October 2006. He also has been vice president, sourcing and product development for sister youth furniture resource Westwood Design since August 2013.

“Having served in various capacities within the company, including compliance, sourcing and product development, one of Tim’s notable contributions to Intercon has been his instrumental role in developing the company’s vendor base in Asia,” the company said. “His strategic vision has played an important role in establishing strong relationships with key partners in Asia.”
