Common Thread for the Cure reminds us of those in need on Giving Tuesday

Lexington, NC, Nov. 16, 2022 – As the holidays quickly approach many look forward to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The most important day, however, is Giving Tuesday celebrated on Nov 29th this year.

The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation , a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, asks you to remember those who are battling breast cancer with a donation to the Foundation’s Helping Hand Grants . Please visit The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation to learn more and donate to this meaningful program on Giving Tuesday.

Confidential Helping Hand Grants provide financial assistance to individuals affiliated with the furnishings and design industries or to their immediate family members who are fighting breast cancer. Donations made to these grants offer relief in areas where insurance does not apply.

For example, a grant can be used to meet financial obligations, household needs and transportation to medical appointments. The intent is to enhance the quality of life for those who have breast cancer enabling them to maintain as normal a lifestyle as possible while they are confronting the disease.

One Helping Hand Grant recipient said “It is such a relief to not have to worry about the finance part of this scary journey. It is also so uplifting to know there are people who care and want to help. No words can express my gratitude, I am at a loss for words – so blessed and so grateful.”

To date, the Foundation has raised over one million dollars and has offered financial assistance to more than 300 individuals throughout North America.
