ORLANDO, Fla. — Nice Link Home Furnishings has hired veteran textile designer Anastasia Frandsen as senior designer, North America.

Based out of the company’s High Point showroom and offices, Frandsen will work closely with CEO Echo Yu, who leads the international design team anchored in the company’s 1.5-million-square-foot campus in Haining, China.

Most recently, Frandsen was with American Silk Mills where she served as senior designer for two periods spanning 20 years, She “has textile knowledge and experience that will provide the depth and breadth from yarn development and trend forecasting to working closely with an international team as well as customers and partners,” the company said in a release.

Frandsen has also designed for Chatham Mills, Culp and Phillips Weaving. She was also an adjunct professor at the Thomas Jefferson University School of Design and Engineering, teaching concept creation, weaving structure and EAT software.

“The market has evolved, and just as we move with fashion and color trends, it was time to take a fresh look and approach to our fabric business, the team, and how we better serve our customers,” Yu said in a statement.

“We are excited to add Anastasia’s unique perspective and expertise to complement our experienced in-house design team.”

Nice Link is one of the largest fabric resources in the industry, supplying domestic and import manufacturers through its fabric mill and cut-and-sew fabric and leather operation.

Yu founded Nice Link in 1999 after a successful run with Ashley Home Furnishings as its first country manager in China. She “has a passion for fashion and keen eye for fabric to frame that is the foundation of Nice Link’s success ultimately proven at retail,” the company said.
