Martin Furniture moves to new space at Market on Green for April High Point Market

HIGH POINT – Home office and home entertainment manufacturer Martin Furniture is moving to a new space in the Market on Green building at 212 E. Green Drive.

It will occupy about 10,000-square feet of space on the third floor of the building, which is roughly the same size of the space it has occupied on the fifth floor of Furniture Plaza for more than 15 years.

The Abbot home office group by Martin Furniture is one of two laminate groups the company is making in Mexico.

While about the same size, the space has a layout that allows the company to showcase more product, said Dee Maas, vice president, sales.

“It also provides easier access for customers and will be easier for them to work the showroom,” Maas said, adding that the new space creates a fresh new modern look and feel for Martin.

“We built the new space from the ground up,” she said. “It has been very rewarding to see it come together.”

With neighboring tenants that include Aria Designs and DesignWorks Furniture, she believes the space is also in a high traffic area for customers shopping both case goods and upholstery.

At the April 2-6 High Point Market, Martin Furniture will be showing eight new office groups from Mexico, two of which feature laminate construction, with the rest being veneered veneer product. It also is showing some new chairside tables made in Mexico.

There also will be three groups from Asia that include both home office and some new entertainment consoles.

“This modern setting will showcase our market introductions and provide a great place for us to expand in the future,” added Patrick Hayes, vice president, product development and design. “We’re looking forward to sharing it with our customers.”
