GUANGZHOU, China – This week, the China International Furniture Fair held its 49th edition here in Guangzhou.
The July 17-20 event featured more than 4,000 exhibitors showing product in more than 7 million square feet of show space, offering buyers from around world a chance to see thousands of products from manufacturers in and outside China. The product mix ranged from case goods and upholstery to bedding as well as outdoor furniture, rugs, accessories and more.
Industry veteran Benjamin Pei, a long time supply chain expert and industry consultant, was in China this week to check out the show. Following a seven day quarantine period, which was recently cut in half at the end of June, Pei hit the ground running to visit many long-time contacts and associates, particularly in the bedding industry.
