Elemental Composition
By Susan Dickenson
In this presentation of fall home decor introductions, our second Style Notebook curation for the upcoming market, form and fiber find inspiration in the fluidity and multi-dimensional geometry of natural elements.
Highlights include Global Views’ new rock pillows, which reimagine the layering of fine grained metamorphic rock and are inspired by the designer’s visit to the Welsh slate mines, where compressed layers of rock formed over millions of years into the current staggered formations. The collection also includes several cushions inspired by shape variations on Cnicht Mountain in North Wales.
Nourison’s Prismatic area rugs are hand tufted from a wool blend and woven with shimmering silk fibers to create a colorful three-dimensional effect.
Jill Seale’s new designs for Port 68 include a selection of digital prints (shown here on a Port 68 bench) and four hand painted silks. Also shown, the Logan channel-tufted accent chair from Crestview Collection’s newest category addition, and Chelsea House’s Loose Knot lamp, hand-formed iron in a gold leaf finish.
All of these showrooms will be open during the Fall High Point Market.
