NEW ALBANY, Miss. — Upholstery manufacturer Albany Industries has hired Craig Zielinski as chief operating officer, a role in which he will be involved in global and domestic manufacturing operations.
He comes to the company from Stanley Black & Decker, where he worked for 17 years, most recently as global vice president, operations for power tools and before that as director, operations. He also held other senior management positions that included plant manager and operations manager.
Before joining Stanley Black & Decker, he worked at Pentair, where he was plant manager at its Oldham Saw Company division. Before that he was global lean manufacturing manager and senior manufacturing engineer.
Prior to joining Pentair, he was manufacturing engineering manager at Lincoln Brass Works.
In his new role, he will report to Albany Industries CEO Mark Gosnell.
“Craig has nearly 30 years of experience in manufacturing, including plant management, multi-site, and global operations leadership and has a passion for continuous improvement and understands the critical importance of our manufacturing sites and our people to serve our customers at the highest level,” Albany said in a statement announcing him joining the company. “He truly values the teams at our manufacturing sites and feels most at home on the shop floor.”
