HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 14, 2022 – Los Angeles based interior and product designer Erinn Valencich and Universal Furniture offered an amuse-bouche of their bold and progressive collaboration at High Point Market in the spring. This fall, they’ll be serving the main course.
Entitled Erinn V. x Universal, this fashion-forward home collection encompasses furnishings in both casegoods and upholstery for living room, dining room, bedroom and home office space.
“We are excited to have the full collection on display this fall, inspired by modern European, Japanese and California influences,” said Universal Furniture Vice President of Marketing Neil MacKenzie. “To be able to offer Erinn’s look at the Universal price point allows accessibility from a larger customer base.”
The full Erinn V. x Universal collection offers 45 modern designs with clean lines, sculptural forms and wide range of finishes (20 to be exact) and materials. The collection delivers detail in unexpected places—surprising cushion depth in a low-backed chair, leather wrapping on a mirror frame and crackled door fronts on a console—with finishes including dark walnut, white lacquer, silver leaf, and black chrome. Some finishes are employed in combination to provide contrast, visual interest or simply allow the piece to function in multiple environments.
“These designs display a classic foundation with a depth of character that brings a space alive,” said Valencich. “They can either modernize a traditional space or warm up a modern home.”
