HIGH POINT — The High Point Market Authority has announced staff promotions and new hires that will report to Tammy Nagem, who assumes the role of president and CEO with the retirement of current president and CEO Tom Conley later this year.
The three vice presidents who will report to Nagem include Ashley Grigg, who has been promoted to vice president, strategic growth and partnerships, a new position. She has been with HPMA since 2014 and has been director, marketing and communications since 2017.
Terry Venable remains vice president, operations and finance and will expand his operational responsibilities as Nagem’s role as chief operating officer is dissolved.
In addition, the organization has named Ben Muller, vice president, marketing and communications, a new position. He was most recently marketing director at Kayser-Roth for just over three years and before that worked at Hanes Brands for more than 12 years in roles including senior marketing manager for Hanes Activewear, marketing manager for C9 by Champion Men’s Activewear and as assistant marketing manager Duofold Baselayer and Champion C9.
Venable and Muller also report to Nagem.
“The new organizational structure for HPMA champions our strategic goal to ensure continuous growth for High Point Market,” Nagem said. “That growth is driven by exceptional experiences for buyers, through targeted marketing communications, and operational excellence.”
“I’m in full support of Tammy and her team as they lead HPMA into the future,” added Conley. “I’m confident High Point Market and all of its stakeholders will be in good hands.”
The new team will be in place as the HPMA transitions to focus on the Spring 2023 Market, scheduled for April 22-26.
