Description: Cort is looking for a general manager of tradeshows and events to work with meeting and event planners and trade show contractors across the nation. Cort delivers furniture to festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl, and the general manager will plan, direct and lead the profitable growth of the Chicago district operation.
Responsibilities include developing, recommending and implementing policies for the overall district including operating plans and budgets. The general manager directs inventory management efforts, controls, warehousing, and delivery operations and represents the company to local contractors while establishing relationships.
Qualifications include a four-year year college degree with six-plus years’ work experience, or 10 years related work experience without a degree. Excellent communication skills, reasoning skills, computer proficiency, and management skills are also required.
