Description: The Vice President of Global Transportation oversees the international transportation of product from the company’s global network of manufacturing partners to its distribution centers, as well as the outbound transportation to its retail and e-commerce customers. This role manages internal cross-functional relationships and third-party supplier and vendor relationships to drive on-time performance while controlling costs. This Leader plays a critical role in delivering solutions that ensure transportation planning, processes and service are optimized to enable operational excellence, and align to the company’s operating goals, priorities and strategic growth plan.
The person in this role will also analyze service and financial reporting to identify trends and opportunities, and provide viable solutions to correct performance and/or service issues as well as develop, manage, and maintain relationships with strategic partners focused on innovation and continuous improvement, while ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and operational excellence.
Qualification:
- 10+ years experience in Transportation Operations
- 5+ years of direct oversight and responsibility for Transportation Operations, compliance, and strategy
- Deep expertise in negotiating and managing domestic and international contracts
- GT Nexus and TMS expertise
- Proficiency in 3rd party web-based platforms and Transportation software such as Cube Route, ITMS, AS400 etc.
