A conversation with Barclay Butera

At market, Barclay Butera took time to speak with Home News Now about his latest collection, Villa Blanca, his seventh with Lexington Home Brands. The 45-piece collection has 30 case goods in bedroom, dining, occasional and entertainment, as well as 15 pieces of upholstery.

The lightly distressed white finish on case goods offers an updated take on traditional forms, while the upholstery mix shows pops of color in teal, blue and aqua tones seen on the fabrics of upholstered dining chairs and pillows. Offering a further contrast are the russet and spice-flavored tones on chairs and pillows.

Here, Butera also speaks about some of the Mediterranean and Moorish design influences that play a role in the shapes, fabrics and finishes seen in the collection.
