Mueller Furniture adds 4th location in Fairview Heights, Illinois

90,000-square-foot building includes a 55,000-square-foot showroom and a distribution center to serve all the company’s locations

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. — Retailer Mueller Furniture is opening its fourth location and its second Metro East location in a former Weekends Only building here.

The 90,000-square-foot building will feature a 55,000-square-foot showroom and a distribution center for all the company’s locations, which include a flagship store in Belleville, Illinois that opened in 1927, a store in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and a store in Ellisville, Missouri.

It also will feature what Mark Mueller, owner of the 4th generation family-owned business, described as the largest luxury mattress gallery and premium clearance section in the St. Louis, Missouri, and Metro East areas. Key brands include Tempur-Pedic and Chattam & Wells.

According to Mueller, the new location will also have a Palliser Gallery, the largest selection of Amish-made furniture in the Midwest, along with the business’ best-selling brands such as Flexsteel and Smith Brothers. This location will also be the company’s first store to carry a mix of outdoor furniture. All furniture items will be in-stock and ready for immediate delivery or pick-up.

Mueller noted that the new store will continue the vision of founder John Mueller to provide quality, American-made furniture and “will carry on that same mission on a grander scale, with more than six million dollars of inventory under one roof.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to be in the Fairview Heights community and have been looking forward to expanding our presence in the Metro East,” Mueller said. “This building is going to take our business to the next level in terms of providing exceptional quality furniture and customer service to all four of our locations. It takes a lot of moving parts and staff to perform customer service, sales, delivery and repair, and now those functions can be housed under one roof. This location checks off a lot of boxes for us in terms of efficiency while also giving us a bigger footprint in the Metro East. We’re very excited for people to come see our new location and what we have to offer.”

It opened to the public on Aug. 25 and a grand opening celebration is planned for November.
