AFW partners with Red Cross for Boulder County wildfire victims

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — To help those affected by the Marshall Wildfires, American Furniture Warehouse is donating 1000 gift cards in the amount of $1,000 each to support the victims that have lost their homes in the Boulder County Wildfire. These gift cards will go directly to the American Red Cross here in Colorado and will be distributed through the Red Cross Disaster Assistance Center in Lafayette. Red Cross is on site at the Disaster Assistance Center seven days a week.

“Our hearts go out to the families that have lost everything,” said CEO, Jake Jabs. “This is our community, and we are here for you.”

Hundreds of structures have been destroyed and thousands of people were evacuated after 1,600-acre fire spread across several communities in Boulder County, Colorado. The National Weather Service has called the situation “life-threatening” in the Superior and Louisville areas. The area experienced a short period of extreme winds.

The Red Cross is offering services to those impacted by the Marshall fire. Those who have been impacted can talk to a Red Cross Disaster Responder in person at the Boulder County Disaster Assistance Center.
