Vietnamese agencies promote business opportunities with manufacturers, U.S. buyers

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – Three agencies promoting business opportunities in the Vietnam furniture industry hosted a webinar and matchmaking event on Dec. 15 that was attended by both Vietnamese manufacturers and some furniture industry professionals in the U.S.

The event was organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) the Vietnam Embassy Trade Office in the U.S. and the Handicraft & Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event were Vu Ba Phu, director general, Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency; Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vietnam; Bui Huy Son, minister counselor and head of the Trade Office, Embassy of Vietnam in the U.S; Tom Russell, editor-in-chief at Home News Now and Nguyen Hoai Bao – a member of HAWA’s Standing Committee and vice president at indoor and outdoor furniture manufacturers Scansia Pacific Co. Ltd.

In addition Al Bolton, managing director of High Point Exhibitions spoke about the importance of international manufacturers to once again begin visiting the High Point Market in a postpandemic environment.
