On Klaussner Home Furnishings’ factory floor

Home News Now gives an inside look into Klaussner’s upholstery operations

This month, Home News Now visited Klaussner Home Furnishings’ 600,000-square-foot plant and headquarters in Asheboro, N.C. The plant, which manufactures stationary and motion upholstery has 16 production lines, including three new ones added in the past several weeks. These production lines are run by teams of experienced workers as well as some new recruits who work together to produce custom orders available in 500 fabrics and 70 leathers, according to Len Burke, vice president, marketing.

In the past, it would take some 16-20 weeks to train a new recruit. But as some of these photos will show, new recruits are training on the job, learning the techniques and applications that will make them experienced builders one day. As far as the experienced workers go, they are helping the company maintain its position as one of the leading upholstery manufacturers in the U.S. with a line that ranges from sofas and loveseats to sectionals and motion upholstery.

Below Home News Now takes readers inside for a look at what they bring to consumers across the U.S. each day.
