Description: NFM’s Merchandise Planner is responsible for maximizing department/category KPI through the financial management and planning of merchandise by utilizing current business trends, historical guidelines and forecasted impacts.
This person will recruit, hire, coach, train, provide feedback/recognition and support staff while completing timekeeper functions, staff appropriately to meet customer needs and attend required training events. They will control expenses, turnover and oversee the mission and critical measures of the department. In addition, they will work with the buyer to build a strategic plan, develop pre-season sales, markdowns, margin and align inventory to business goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, related field or equivalent experience
- 3-year experience in retail merchandise planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, allocation or replenishment or financial planning/analysis
- Minimum 1 year supervisory/management experience
- Retail replenishment and allocation, retails sales or merchandising experience preferred
