American Furniture Warehouse to open 4th Arizona store

Tucson-area store has 122,000 square feet of showroom space and 115,000 square feet of warehouse space

TUCSON, Ariz. — Retailer American Furniture Warehouse is opening its newest store here which is its fourth location in the state.

Joining AFW stores in Phoenix, Glendale and Gilbert, this newest location includes about 122,000 square feet of showroom space on two floors and an additional 115,000 square feet of warehouse operations.

The store is located at 6595 W. Marana Center Blvd. in Tucson. The area is home to a host of dining, entertainment and shopping destinations including the 170-acre Marana Center development that houses Tucson Premium Outlets.

With Tucson the second largest city in Arizona behind Phoenix and with a population of more than 540,000, the store there will draw from a wide suburban population of homeowners and renters in and outside the city limits. This includes Marana, a community northwest of Tucson with a population of around 51,000.

A soft opening is planned for May 24, and the store also has a “Backyard BBQ” event planned for June 8. The retailer, which this past year ranked at No. 22 on Home News Now’s 125 Furniture and Bedding Retailers, said it will donate a portion of its sales on June 8 to the Marana Food Bank.

“We are thrilled to be opening doors in Marana/Tucson and look forward to becoming a trusted resource for quality furniture and exceptional customer service in the community,” said Jake Jabs, founder and chief executive officer of American Furniture Warehouse.

Wood furniture and upholstery brands carried at the store include: Ashley Furniture, Jackson Catnapper, Elements International, Franklin, Manwah, Softline, Condor, Crown Mark, Sunny Designs, Holland House and Intercon. Bedding brands include Therapedic, Serta, Sealy and Healthcare Memory Foam.

The store also carries outdoor furniture, accessories, rugs, RTA furniture, home office and children’s furniture.
