Description: The Systems Administrator’s primary responsibility is to maintain both the software and hardware inside Nationwide’s co-located data center, whether in the form of servers, switches, workstations, firewalls, or related needs. They are responsible for maintaining server lifecycles, updates and patches, and other maintenance items. They will be expected to administrate both Windows and Linux systems and ensure network reliability, availability, and security.
Secondary responsibilities include user-focused tasks such as triaging and routing tickets, suggesting and executing internal improvements, resolving external issues and expanding our capabilities. This person will also participate in on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in PowerShell and/or Bash, and Windows and Linux Server administration
- Strong networking background preferred
- Focus on process improvement, configuration management, and automation
- Bachelor’s plus 3 years (or equivalent) preferred
