Description: Polywood is looking for a Buyer or Senior Buyer to work with the Purchasing team on overall inventory management and purchasing to support the operations team with needed materials
Essential Duties and responsibilities include monitoring,, analyzing, and calculating supply and demand on assigned materials, placing purchase orders when needed, and developing and maintaining good vendor relations. This person will be able to resolve problems, reconcile vendor returns, and expedite order deliveries as well as complete assigned reports and special projects. The right candidate will understand and follow Polywood procedures for supply requisitions.
One to two years of prior purchasing or manufacturing experience is preferred, as is a high school education or equivalent. The applicant must also have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively with vendors and fellow employees.
