Description: The person in this role will drive the strategic, innovative direction and growth of the Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams custom upholstery design team. Business activities such as project estimating/quote formulation, project coordination, financial leadership with the design organization are included in the responsibility. Daily communication with senior leadership is a critical duty.
They will work closely with the design team on the design and execution of unique and innovative product concepts,, and design and develop products consistent with seasonal trends and concepts, and customer/business needs. Responsible for researching and developing seasonal trends, themes, concepts, color, fabric, and styling, and/or product form, function, and manufacturing processes, the senior director of design will manage the design development process throughout its lifecycle.
Applicants must have a minimum of seven years of experience working in the home design industry and must provide a portfolio link on resume or PDF sample. Experience leading a team with strong communication and leadership skills and a strong knowledge of design and art history are also required.
