In this role she succeeds long-time product development specialist Roberta Woodard, who remains on the company’s board of directors
EASTVALE, Calif. — Case goods and upholstery specialist Parker House has named industry veteran Chelsy Helton vice president, product development.
In this position, she succeeds Roberta Woodard who the company said is retiring from the company but will continue as a member of its board of directors.
Helton joined the company this past spring from Dorel Home, where she served as vice president, product. Before this, she was vice president, product development, imports, for Lane and before this was vice president, merchandising for Standard Furniture. She also previously held product development roles at Saffron Furniture Group and Powell Home Fashions.
In her previous positions at Lane, Standard and Powell, the company said, she was responsible for developing the entire product assortment as well as proprietary product for major accounts.
In her new position she reports to Chris Lupo, chief executive officer.
“Chelsy was the perfect successor for this position,” Lupo said. “Her wealth of experience, abundance of business relationships and aggressive drive to win is exactly what we were looking for, and it has been wonderful having her on board. We are looking forward to great things as Parker House’s assortment grows and evolves at her direction.”
Lupo also thanked Woodward for her contributions to the company, which she joined in 2011 as vice president, product development and merchandising.
“We are truly honored that Roberta has agreed to join our board of directors,” Lupo said. “She has been instrumental in the success we have achieved over the last twelve and a half years, and I am confident that her incomparable industry and company-specific insight will help us continue on this positive trajectory for years to come.”
