SAN DIEGO — The Contemporary Design Group annual conference is returning to in-person meetings by hosting this year’s event at an award-winning Southern California resort. The event will take place at the Rancho Bernardo Inn the first weekend of December.
The group is planning a retreat-like experience for 2021. “We looked for a venue that would really allow our guests to relax and recharge, “says CDG’s Executive Director Alicia Mendez Stevens. “We will be adhering to all local health and safety guidelines, so we made sure that our program incorporated outdoor meeting spaces and plenty of fresh air.” She also notes that last year’s virtual conference was such a huge success that the group will also be renewing their virtual event platform for the upcoming year, with plans to host virtual networking, buying, and educational events through 2022.
“After two long years of not being together in person, I look forward to seeing everyone this December, “says Lora Sigesmund of Perlora in Pittsburgh, PA. “We have worked hard to make this conference one to remember while keeping everyone safe”. Soren Thomsen of Tema in Albuquerque, NM agrees, “It is terrific that we can meet again in person and continue building relationships with our partners and friends.”
